Areeiro Cumple 25 Años

   Whithin the Programa de Comunicación e Sensibilización Social (Social Communication and Sensibilization Program) included in the Plan galego de Investigación, Desenvolvemento e Innovación Tecnológica 2006-2010 (IN.CI.TE.) (Galician Project of Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2006-2010), the Dirección Xeral de Investigación, Desenvolvemento e Innovación (General Management of Research, Development and Innovation) organizes the 7th edition of the Galician Week of Science within the framework of the European and National Week of Science. The objective of this initiative is to involve population in science and technology by means of promotional activities to attract people interest. For the first time, the Estación Fitopatolóxica do Areeiro (Deputación de Pontevedra), with 25 years of applied research, participates in this activity with a series of interactive exhibitions and conferences held in four Galician cities (Pontevedra , Santiago, Ourense e Vigo), that will serve as a diffusion tool to illustrate the work of Areeiro in its 25 years of life. The exhibit named: Areeiro 25 anos contribuíndo ó agro (Areeiro, 25 years contributing to agriculture), will be dedicated to a different sector in each city: ornamentals, grapevine, fruit trees and forest species. These activities will bring research (Innovation + Research + Development) closer to students from different education level (playground, primary, secondary school, university…), farmers and professionals from every sector, and everyone interested... and these activities will be adapted to the level of knowledge and understanding of the audience. The exhibit will be opened from 9 to 14 hours and from 16 to 19 hours according to the following schedule
