Presencia de Phytophthora hibernalis en cítricos de la
provincia de Pontevedra.

ABSTRACT: During January and February in the
Estación Fitopatolóxica do Areeiro laboratory several citric
samples showing symptoms characteristic of water mould in the fruits and oily
spots on the leaves were received. Root rot and gummosis were not observed.
Some sections bordering the lesion, both on fruits and leaves, were sown in V8
agar media supplemented with pimaricin 5mg/l, rifanpicin 25 mg/l, hymexazol 5
mg/l and benomyl 10mg/l) and were incubated in the oven in the dark for 24
ºC. Four or five days later, a mycelia growth characteristic of
Phytophthora sp. was observed.
